It all began in 1994, with some sketchy jump ramps made out of polywood and a few bricks we found laying around. At this time, we didn't even knew know it was possible to grind anything, let alone handrails. All we did was just jump that sketchy little makeshift ramp!

Sven was in a local soccer team and together with his brother and sister he had a carefree childhood. When he started to rollerblade in April 1994 at 14 years old, everything became different. Sven skated the streets and local ramps and was improving really fast. This led to a sponsorship by DownTown Skate shop in October 1994, six month after he first started blading. Later at an event, Sven met a guy that was doing show for Rollerblade NL. After the event was over Sven was asked to become a part of the shows.
